Our story
Originally founded as Eventa.
Originally founded as Eventa, our respiratory team continues its longstanding commitment to improving outcomes for members with chronic and complex respiratory conditions while helping health plans deliver better quality, stronger member experiences, and lower total cost of care.

Gene Gantt, RRT, FAARC
President & Senior Vice President, Respiratory ProgramsGene Gantt has dedicated more than four decades to advancing post-acute respiratory care. A Fellow of the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC), Gene has served in state and national leadership roles, chaired the AARC Long Term Care Specialty Section, and helped establish respiratory care standards that became both Tennessee regulations and national best practice recommendations. Today, he continues to guide innovative respiratory programs focused on improving outcomes across the continuum of care.

Scott Gantt
Vice President, Respiratory ProgramsScott Gantt has been a leader in post-acute respiratory care since 1987. He co-developed Tennessee's respiratory standards for skilled nursing facilities, helped implement respiratory care programs across North America, and has partnered with hospitals, health plans, and manufacturers to develop innovative clinical strategies that improve respiratory outcomes for medically complex populations.

Kendra Mato, RRT-NPS
Vice President of Respiratory OperationsKendra Mato brings more than 30 years of respiratory therapy experience with specialized expertise in post-acute care, pediatric ventilation, and respiratory program development. She helped establish Tennessee's Enhanced Respiratory Care standards, implemented respiratory programs throughout North America, and has been nationally recognized by the AARC for her leadership in long-term respiratory care. Today, she leads clinical operations with a focus on innovation, quality, and exceptional patient outcomes.

Chief Medical OfficerA pioneer in pulmonary medicine, Dr. Asa Clyde Heflin brings more than 35 years of clinical leadership to the Respiratory Services team. A graduate of Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, he provides medical oversight and strategic guidance that supports evidence-based respiratory care and high-quality clinical outcomes.

Clinical ConsultantMorgan Gantt-Smith is a Family Nurse Practitioner with experience spanning urgent care, pulmonology, and critical care. She provides clinical consultation that strengthens respiratory care programs and supports innovative approaches to caring for medically complex populations.
